At the ceremony were General Ngo Xuan Lich, former Minister of National Defense; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, head of the general political department of the Vietnam People’s Army; General Trinh Van Quyet, head of the central department of propaganda and mass mobilization, former head of the general political department of the Vietnam People’s Army, as well as leaders of the Party, state, and Ministry of National Defense.
On behalf of the President of Vietnam, General Nguyen Trong Nghia awarded the First Class National Defense Order to the Propaganda Department.
During the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia awarded the First Class National Defense Order to the Propaganda Department for its outstanding achievements in training, combat readiness, building the People’s Army, strengthening national defense, and contributing to the construction of socialism and defense of the homeland.
In his address, General Nguyen Trong Nghia highlighted the 80-year tradition of the propaganda and military training sector and emphasized the importance of ideological work in unifying and guiding troop actions.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia stressed the need for active research and strategic advice to reform ideological and cultural work in the military, ensuring it’s always at the forefront.
He also called for effective programs to promote emulation and reward within the army, using innovative approaches, applying science and technology, and maintaining information accuracy.
Additionally, he urged the propaganda and military training sector to actively coordinate with relevant agencies, combat misinformation, foil hostile plots, and prevent ideological degradation within their ranks.
Establishing a strong, exemplary Party Committee within the propaganda and military training sector was also emphasized, along with fostering internal unity and cohesion.
