The cinema Emotions in Bagnols-sur-Cèze will broadcast for free the opening ceremony of the 79th Cannes Film Festival. It will be followed by the screening of the opening comedy of the event, “The Electric Venus”.
The red carpet unfolds in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Since the cinema cannot host the biggest movie stars in its theaters, Emotions Cinema will show the opening ceremony of the 79th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, May 12. The residents of Bagnols are invited to Rue du Casino from 7 p.m. to witness the famous red carpet event.
This year, the ceremony will be presided over by the Franco-Malian artist Eye Haïdara, who has appeared in “The House of Women” by director Mélissa Godet.
The opening ceremony, offered for free, will end around 8:10 p.m. It will be followed by the traditional opening screening of the Cannes Film Festival at 8:45 p.m.
The residents of Bagnols will discover the romantic comedy “The Electric Venus” by the French screenwriter Pierre Salvadori, just like in Cannes.
Reservations can be made on the website emotionscinemas.fr.
