In a context marked by the instability of collective references and the acceleration of information flow, the 35th edition of the Political Book Day placed at the heart of its reflections the question of engagement, as highlighted in a statement by the association Lire la Société which organizes this event.
Founded in 1991 by Luce Perrot, the association Lire la Société aims to renew and strengthen the bond between citizens, their Republic, and our major institutions. The association has gradually opened up to other debates of ideas: historical, geopolitical, economic, or financial.
The events and meetings organized by Lire la Société aim to contribute throughout the year to the animation of public debate and to build links between the academic and intellectual world, the media world, elected officials, public and private decision-makers, civil society, and the citizens of today and tomorrow.
By LIRE – Prix des Hussards: three novels in the final before the verdict.
In 2025, the Political Book Day had distinguished Gérard Courtois for the Political Book Prize, Patrick Roger for the Deputies’ Prize, Michaël Foessel and Étienne Ollion for the Student Political Book Prize, as well as Maxime De Lisle and Olivier Martin for the Student Political BD Prize.
