CarVertical: the must-have tool for buying a used car

It is increasingly common for drivers to consider purchasing a CarVertical report when choosing their next used car, in order to know the vehicle’s history. “We are hearing more and more the question ‘Have you checked with CarVertical?’ This is exactly what we are trying to establish as a common practice,” confirms Moundyr Gainou, director of CarVertical France, whose aim is to “embed transparency as a reflex.” Through information gathered from a thousand international data sources, it is possible to learn whether a used vehicle has been used for demonstrations at dealerships or driving schools, if it has been involved in insurance-declared accidents, its declared mileage at technical checks, and more.

A 40% increase in revenue

The Lithuanian company, CarVertical, aims to go even further with its latest features, allowing users to track usage periods, analyze the vehicle’s price evolution, predict mileage through various graphics, and more. The company’s commercial success is undeniable, with a revenue of €75.8 million recorded in 2025, marking a 40% increase compared to the previous year. CarVertical continues to grow in central Europe while becoming significant in Western Europe. “From the beginning of 2025, we knew it would be one of the most competitive years ever known, not a passing phase, but a new reality. CarVertical continues its growth on several fronts and, despite strong competition in many markets, maintains its momentum,” stated CEO Rokas Medonis in a press release.

Expanding into new territories

Since 2025, CarVertical has expanded into territories like Ireland, Austria, Moldova, New Zealand, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the Netherlands, with plans to enter more countries this year, identifying unexpected regions. In France, the absence of a European-level history tracking system continues to hinder the need for transparency. Gainou highlights the importance of private sales in France, which are much more common compared to other countries, leading to difficulties in tracking and ensuring transparency.

Supporting independent repair shops selling used vehicles

CarVertical’s strategy is focused on massive investments in data quality to provide more value and in-depth analysis to clients. The company aims to attract independent repair shops, particularly those needing traceability on the vehicles they sell. Many repair shops rely on direct use of CarVertical’s platform, purchasing reports individually and registering with personal names, making identification challenging.

Selling a vehicle with falsified mileage can lead to severe penalties, a fact that CarVertical emphasizes to repair shops. Despite the challenges, the company continues to support repair shops in selling used vehicles responsibly, as these shops predominantly focus on automotive repair as their main revenue source, making selling used cars more complex for them.
