Top scorer of the 2024-2025 season with Dunkerque, right back Tom Pelayo, who has since moved to Dinamo Bucharest, has signed with Limoges Handball for three seasons. The French international will compensate for the departure of Faruk Yusuf.

It’s a significant signing announced by LH this Tuesday, that of ‘an experienced player, accustomed to European competition’ for which the Limoges team has just qualified. Tom Pelayo, born and raised in the North (he scored his first goals with Dunkerque at just 17 years old) has signed for three seasons with Limoges Handball.

In eleven seasons in the elite, Tom Pelayo has a record of 1,153 goals and had already won the top scorer title in the Starligue in 2024-2025 under the colors of USDK, before moving to Romania, where he became champion and won the Super Cup with Dinamo Bucharest. With this signing, Limoges Handball aims to stabilize its squad at the highest level and continue its progression, while also allowing a talented player to find his way back to the French national team.

“This is a profile we have been following for several seasons, contacts had been established before without success, but we always stayed in touch and this year it materialized,” said LH coach Alberto Entrerrios. An opportunity linked to the departure of Faruk Yusuf, whose contract is expiring and who is returning to his club in Kielce.

“I want to play two games per week, be competitive, give everything,” announces Tom Pelayo, who relies on the rhythm imposed by Europe to continue progressing and help Limoges to continue its rise in power.
