This scene from season 3 of “Euphoria” hasn’t even been released yet, but it’s already stirring up passions: Sydney Sweeney is seen wearing a very provocative, not to mention particularly daring outfit.
Notice to “Euphoria” detractors: if you’re tired of hearing about the hit teen series that’s been thrilling crowds since 2019, you may continue to hear about it for a while. Because season 3, of which only the first episode has been released so far, is full of increasingly daring scenes.
One scene, not even officially aired yet, is already generating controversy and discussions: in a brief excerpt from the trailer released two weeks ago by HBO, we see the character Cassie (played by Sydney Sweeney) dressed as a baby to create content for her OnlyFans account.
Everything is there: blonde, curly pigtails, a pink pacifier in her mouth, a white diaper, and a sheer pink top that reveals the actress’s chest.
It’s safe to say that this sneak peek hasn’t failed to stir up the show’s fans, who have been discussing on social media. “Why did this girl accept this role?” wonders one internet user on X. “Honestly, you’re worth so much more than that! Why let yourself be manipulated by people like that? Why humiliate yourself so much for a show?” Another agrees, “Disgusting, who could watch that?” Another user on X protests, “How can I block an image? I hate it to the highest degree.”
Other fans quickly came to the defense of the actress, arguing that “Euphoria” has had risqué scenes since the first season and that these are the responsibility of the writers, not the actors.
One thing is certain: until the controversial excerpt is broadcast in season 3, “Euphoria” will continue to fuel conversations. Next episode and a new wave of scandal next Sunday. (mbr)
