The attacking midfielder Julien Lopez will no longer wear the Paris FC jersey next season.
At the end of his contract, the Paris player announced his departure this Wednesday via a message on his social networks. “It had to happen one day, after a decade in the Paris FC colors, it’s time to close the chapter,” wrote the experienced player. He also mentioned his journey: signing his first professional contract at 25 years old in the capital, then discovering Ligue 1 at 33 years old.
Julien Lopez pays tribute to his brother
Recruited in 2017, the brother and protege of Maxime Lopez will have spent nine seasons at the Parisian club. His record: 261 games played, 31 goals scored, and 16 decisive assists delivered. These numbers make him the third most capped player of Paris FC. Over the years, he became one of the emblematic players of the Parisian club. The 2025-2026 season was disrupted by injuries. Julien Lopez only played in seven matches in all competitions.
In his message, the Marseille native paid tribute to his brother Maxime, who arrived at Paris FC in 2024. “What could be more beautiful than being able to play with you, brother. No words can describe what we experienced, it will remain engraved for life,” he wrote. It is now the end of a chapter for Julien Lopez. With his wealth of experience, he should have no trouble finding a new club in the coming weeks.
