A small plane crashed into a house on Thursday in Ohio, United States. The two people on board were killed but there were no injuries among those present in the house.
Two people lost their lives in the plane crash on Thursday, May 14 in Ohio, United States. The victims were both on board the aircraft that crashed into a house in the city of Akron.
According to NBC News, there were no injuries among the people in the house, which caught fire after the crash. Videos posted on social media show the building engulfed in flames.
The house as well as another nearby residence were evacuated to allow firefighters to intervene.
An investigation opened
The Federal Aviation Administration indicated that the plane was a Piper PA-28. The investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident has been entrusted to the National Transportation Safety Board.
Initial information indicates that the aircraft had taken off from the Akron Fulton Regional Airport, located about 5 km east of the accident site.
