E tensions in the Strait of Hormuz are escalating after Iran attacked three container ships, despite Donald Trump extending the ceasefire. Tehran is showcasing ballistic strength in response to the American oil tanker blockade.

Hardly had Donald Trump announced the ceasefire extension to allow for negotiations, naval battle resumed this morning in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranians fired on three container ships: Euphoria and MSC Francesca sailing under the Panamanian flag, and PAMI Nondas flying the Liberian flag. The attack is claimed by the state television.
The attacks are carried out by hundreds of fast boats from the Revolutionary Guards, known as the “mosquito fleet” for its agility and disruptive capabilities. Meanwhile, the US Navy continues its blockade to prevent Iranian oil exports and squeeze the country’s finances. However, according to the Financial Times, 34 tankers may have already bypassed the blockade.
Donald Trump claims his strategy is working. “Iran is financially collapsing. They want the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz. They are running out of money. They are losing $500 million a day,” said the US President. Trump suggests negotiations could resume by Friday. The Iranian regime responds with a video created using artificial intelligence where Donald Trump grows impatient facing empty chairs. The only response he receives is “Trump, shut up“.
