At an event organized by Turning Point supporters, the American head of state emphasized the need to use “big bulldozers” to extract “nuclear dust” from Iranian facilities.

Donald Trump claimed on Friday, April 17th that the enriched uranium stockpiled by Iran would be “brought back to the United States”, shortly after stating that an agreement with Tehran was very close to ending the war.

“We will go together with Iran” to recover the enriched uranium, he said at a Turning Point conservative organization event in Arizona, adding, “We will go get it, we will bring it back to the United States soon.”

The statements by the American president come after those of the Iranian diplomatic spokesman who previously stated that Iran’s enriched uranium stocks would not go “anywhere.”

“But for Donald Trump, the United States will recover the ‘nuclear dust’ with the help of ‘many bulldozers.’ ‘We are going to need the biggest bulldozers you can imagine,’ stated the American president in front of a crowd of supporters.

Donald Trump uses the term “nuclear dust” to refer to both Iran’s enriched uranium stocks and sometimes to the nuclear material buried during American strikes on Iran in June 2025.

The American president appeared increasingly optimistic on Friday about the chances of an agreement with Tehran, declaring during a call with AFP that there were no “blocking points” remaining and such an agreement was “very close.”

Meanwhile, Iran threatened to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz if the United States maintained their blockade of Iranian ports, after announcing the complete reopening for commercial ships the day before.
