Charles III in the United States, a program designed to avoid hiccups with Donald Trump

Some engagements, whose details have not been revealed yet, will focus on the environment, concluding the visit in Virginia on the third day with some public appearances. President Trump is delighted to receive Charles III. On April 15, speaking to Sky News, he describes the sovereign as a “great gentleman.” “I have known him for a long time. He’s a great, great person,” he adds. The American billionaire also emphasizes that his strained relationship with Sir Keir “will not overshadow” the royal visit, although expressing disappointment that Britain and other NATO allies did not join the war against Iran “when we needed them.”
