During the last municipal council, several municipal commissions were set up to support the work of elected officials and to best prepare the decisions that will be taken at the meeting.
Their mission is essential to the proper functioning of local life. They make it possible to study projects in detail, analyze their technical, administrative and financial aspects, prepare deliberations and can also formulate proposals or avenues for reflection. This upstream work is essential to allow constructive discussions and thoughtful decisions. These commissions have no decision-making power. Official decisions are only made during City Council meetings.
Each commission brings together elected officials from the majority and the minority, while respecting the political representation of the Council. This organization guarantees a plurality of exchanges and an in-depth study of the subjects.
Six commissions were formed:
The Financial Steering Commission will monitor the municipality’s budgetary and financial issues.
The Associative Life commission will support local associations and support the dynamics of the associative fabric.
The Culture commission will work on the development of the cultural offer and the animation of the territory.
The Environment commission will be responsible for subjects linked to the living environment, the ecological transition and the valorization of municipal spaces.
The Communication and Participatory Democracy Commission will have the mission of strengthening information for residents and encouraging their involvement in local life.
Finally, the Education, Parenthood, Childhood and Youth Commission will focus on educational issues and support for families and young people.
These commissions constitute a valuable tool for preparing the future of Montrabé and building projects useful to all residents.
