Oletta: Nature and Culture in the Spotlight for the Grand Site Celebration 2026

On Saturday, June 6, the San Francescu Convent in Oletta will host a new edition of the Grand Site Festival. A day that promises to be rich in discoveries, focused on biodiversity, sharing, and conviviality.

It’s an essential meeting for lovers of the micro-region and its environment. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Grand Site of France invites the public to an exceptional day in Oletta. For the occasion, the square of the mythical San Francescu convent will be transformed into a real “Village of the Grand Site,” the focal point of the festivities.

From the opening, visitors can enjoy continuous entertainment. The program includes interactive stands to understand local biodiversity (fauna, flora, and living landscapes), games, creative workshops for all ages, and the highly anticipated vote for the final of the event’s photo contest.

Fun and immersive activities on the field, beyond the canvas village, will punctuate this day of celebration of the territory. The organization focuses on immersion and education with: – Guided nature outings: scenic walks, participative inventories of fauna and flora, or discovery of hidden biodiversity in the heart of the vineyard. – A team treasure hunt to explore the surroundings in a playful and original way. – The big game “I Sapientoni di e Piante,” ideal for testing botanical knowledge in a friendly atmosphere. – A bilingual naturalist drawing workshop to combine artistic flair and linguistic learning.

Live art will also have its place with the outdoor show “Be in the world – and other attempts,” a poetic work weaving close ties between artistic creation and the surrounding nature.

To allow everyone to fully enjoy the event, a catering area will be set up on-site at midday. The festival will end in the evening with the award ceremony for the treasure hunt and photo contest, immediately followed by a free show for the public.
