A woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 80 Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol. CHP said the crash happened around 2:40 p.m. near the Richards Boulevard exit in Davis. The woman was a passenger in a motorcycle, which was riding behind a pickup truck when traffic began slowing. The motorcycle driver, identified as a man, rear ended the pickup truck, causing the woman to be ejected from the motorcycle and land on another lane in front of a big rig, CHP said.The big rig was not able to stop in time and ran over the woman. She died at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was not injured in the crash, CHP said. All vehicles remained on scene and no other injuries were reported.
