The Aix-startup Gojob announces strategic partnership to manage 70,000 applications per year from the Air and Space Army thanks to its AI-based technology.
After being acquired by the Japanese recruitment leader, the Aix-en-Provence startup Gojob continues to soar. Founded by entrepreneur Pascal Lorne in 2015, the startup announces in a press release that it has landed a “strategic” contract with the Air and Space Army to deploy its recruitment technology with artificial intelligence.
Following a test phase conducted since November 2025 in four Centers of Information and Recruitment of the Armed Forces (CIRFA), their technology has been deployed nationwide since April 1 to manage and pre-qualify “approximately 70,000 applications per year,” according to the startup.
Specifically, Gojob develops its own AI agents capable of verifying the integrity and availability of 100% of candidates in less than 24 hours. Then, company experts call back selected candidates for a half-hour telephone interview.
“Not only do we achieve productivity gains of up to 50 times because all pre-qualification is automated, but we also increase the quality of the telephone relationship,” says Pascal Lorne.
4,000 recruitments per year
This method allows recruiters to focus on higher value-added tasks such as candidate support, in-depth profile evaluation, and talent retention.
For Philippe Hirtzig, Director of Human Resources in the Air and Space Army, this recruitment method allows them to address the classic turnover and high recruitment needs. “Every year we recruit 4,000 people in our 50 professions,” specifies the general.
Gojob will also support its partner in recruitment events by automatically integrating collected CVs into the Army’s platform and analyzing, with AI, the most relevant profiles.
At a time when the defense sector requires efficient recruitment, Gojob’s method guarantees operational efficiency and candidate processing on a large scale, in the eyes of the Air and Space Army.
Gojob on track to become a recruitment leader
For the past ten years, Gojob has acquired legitimacy. The startup has conducted over 80,000 recruitments and processed 10 million applications. It was also acquired by Persol, the leading temporary staffing agency in Asia founded by Yoshiko Shinohara (with nine billion in revenue) last October.
Persol has injected 120 million euros into the Aix-en-Provence startup, while Pascal Lorne has invested in the Japanese group. The new partners now complement each other: Persol is number one in Asia, and Gojob dominates the market in Europe and the United States.
Despite these global ambitions, the executives want to keep the company’s headquarters in Aix-en-Provence, France. However, the startup plans to open additional branches in Paris, New York, and Atlanta to achieve a billion in revenue within five years.
