The city of Kelaa M’Gouna is hosting the 61st edition of the International Rose Perfume Exhibition in Morocco from May 7 to 10 under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI.
Under the theme “The Rose Perfume Sector at the Heart of Integrated Development of Oasis Areas,” this major event is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, in coordination with the province of Tinghir, and in partnership with local, regional, and international actors.
This edition serves as an international platform dedicated to sustainable development and a flagship annual event aimed at highlighting the various roles of the rose perfume sector as a cultural component, as well as an essential economic and social driver for the promotion of oasis areas.
It is an ideal opportunity to present the results and achievements of the “Generation Green 2020-2030” strategy, focusing on modernizing production chains, developing enhancement mechanisms, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship – especially among youth and women – and enhancing adaptation to climate change and water resource management.
The exhibition includes various thematic spaces such as an institutional space, a space dedicated to rose perfume-based products, a space for local products, and an exhibition of the latest agricultural machinery and equipment.
The program also features seminars and roundtable discussions led by experts and academics to discuss the development of the sector and the prospects of the solidarity economy, considering the vital role of scientific and academic research in the development of the sector and agriculture in general in oasis areas.
During this edition, professionals’ efforts will be recognized with encouragement awards for the best rose Damascena farms and processing units to promote a culture of recognition and motivation.
As usual, the “rose capital” will come alive with its annual carnival, an artistic and heritage spectacle combining authenticity and modernity, parading through the main streets of Kelaa M’Gouna.
The parade will be led by the winner of the Miss Rose 2026 title, in a festive celebration showcasing colors and traditional ancestral dances.
This edition is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including professionals, investors, and Moroccan and foreign tourists.
