The young and promising third-row player is leaving CA Brive to join his brother, who is a fly-half, in Var.
Rugby Club Toulonnais officially announced on Wednesday the signing of young third-row player Tana Keletaona (18 years old), who is an international player for the under-20s, for the next three seasons. In Var, he will join his brother, fly-half Luka, whose signing was announced a few weeks ago. The two players were previously playing for CA Brive in Pro D2. “Joining Toulon is a huge pride. It’s a historic club, with a strong identity and passionate fans. I want to progress, learn from the experienced players in the group, and give my all for this jersey,” Tana Keletaona said in a statement. “Reuniting with my brother will certainly make the adventure even more special.”
Laurent Emmanuelli, the sports director of RCT, added that “Tana is a young player that we have been following for a long time. He has obvious athletic qualities, but also a competitive temperament. At 18, he still has time ahead of him. We are convinced that by integrating into our environment and working daily with the staff and his new teammates, he can take a new step in his progression.”
