For nearly two weeks, sculpture comes to life at the heart of the Vosges.

From May 8 to 17, 2026, the city of La Bresse will host the 32nd edition of the International Camille Claudel Sculpture Festival; a unique artistic event bringing together professional sculptors from around the world!

Throughout the festival, the public will be able to witness the creation of artworks live. Artists will work with various materials in front of visitors, providing a rare immersion into the sculptural creation process.

The theme chosen this year is: A world upside down.

Sculptors will have to work on their sculpture around this theme. For this edition, different materials will be used: wood of course, but also stone, metal, cement for example. Several sculptors have chosen to create using recycled materials.

An international artistic event

Each edition of the festival gathers 15 to 20 international professional sculptors, selected for the quality and uniqueness of their work.

This year, 18 professional sculptors will participate. Visitors will be able to interact with the artists, observe the techniques used by the sculptors according to the material, and follow the evolution of the artworks day by day.

The Festival also welcomes student sculptors, with 6 participating this year, fostering encounters between different generations of artists and cultural exchanges.

An experience accessible to all

The International Camille Claudel Sculpture Festival is an event open to the general public, allowing people to discover sculpture in a lively and accessible way. Residents, visitors, and art enthusiasts can freely roam the site, meet the artists, and witness the birth of sculptures.

Over the years, the Festival has become a major cultural event in the Vosges, attracting an increasingly large audience and contributing to the artistic influence of the region.

About the festival

Founded over thirty years ago, the International Camille Claudel Sculpture Festival has established itself as a leading event initially dedicated to wood sculpture. It celebrates artistic creation, international exchanges, and the transmission of know-how.
