Veolia launched today in London a new global offer dedicated to data centers, called “Data Center Resource 360”. This offer is designed to address environmental and operational challenges in the digital infrastructure sector, while supporting the resilience of territories and meeting their essential resource needs. It focuses on integration and societal acceptability at a time when environmental security is becoming a major strategic priority.
The global data center market is experiencing exponential growth, with the number of installations and overall capacity expected to increase by about 11% per year until 2034. However, nearly half of planned or under-construction installations could face delays or permit restrictions, primarily due to local concerns related to water and energy consumption.
Veolia, active at the sites of the top 10 international data center operators on more than 100 locations worldwide, has a unique understanding of their needs. Combined with strong international expertise and a portfolio of proprietary technologies in water, waste, and energy management, Veolia aims to offer the most relevant solution in the market.
Veolia’s integrated offer is designed for rapid deployment to transform data centers into truly carbon-neutral and water-positive circular hubs (up to 20% energy reuse, 75% less water footprint, and 95% recycling and waste reuse). This contributes to resilient, high-performance, and sustainable digital infrastructure while enhancing environmental security and territorial resilience in the long term.
Estelle Brachlianoff, Veolia’s CEO, stated, “Our innovative offer is designed to accompany the growth of strategic digital infrastructures shaping today’s world. We are proud to be the first and only company to offer a truly comprehensive, integrated, and circular solution for data centers. In a context where environmental security is a geostrategic issue and access to key resources such as water and energy is increasingly critical, it is essential to help operators make data centers more resource-efficient, resilient, and well-connected to their territories. We can contribute to making these infrastructures true allies of local populations by delivering environmental value associated with digital performance.”
