From May 7 to 10, 2026, Toulon will host the 3rd edition of the Toulon Provence Regatta, featuring international races, iconic sailboats, and nautical innovations open to the public.

Toulon is gearing up to resonate with the rhythm of the sea during the third edition of the Toulon Provence Regatta, taking place from May 7 to 10, 2026. For four days, the harbor and port of the city will become the center of a major nautical event combining competition, tradition, and innovation.

At the heart of the event, prestigious 12mJI class sailboats, true legends of international sailing, will compete alongside other metric and universal classes. These mythical boats, which have made their mark on the history of the Olympics and the America’s Cup, will provide a unique spectacle, visible both from the sea and from the land, especially at the Vignettes nautical stadium.

But the Toulon Provence Regatta is not limited to tradition. The 2026 edition introduces the “Destinus AI Regatta,” where sailboats are autonomously piloted by artificial intelligence or automated systems. Scheduled for May 9 around Fort Saint-Louis, this unprecedented competition highlights the technological advancements in sailing and opens new horizons for the discipline.

On the docks, the public can enjoy a true village of activities set up at the port. Between boat tours, meetings with crews, and discovering traditional sailboats, the event aims to be immersive and accessible to all. Nautical activities, sea baptisms, and introductions will also be offered for free, especially on the beaches of Mourillon.

The educational and participatory aspect is also at the heart of the event. Students will be involved in the event through workshops, tours, and a marine environment discovery course. A way to pass on the passion for the sea to future generations while raising awareness about environmental conservation.

Carrying the label “400 years of the National Navy,” this 2026 edition promises a sporting and festive spectacle, bringing together sailors, enthusiasts, and the curious around a common goal: celebrating the sea in all its forms. Toulon confirms its place as a must-visit destination for lovers of sailing and maritime innovation.
