A special appointment in the season for the Girondin pilot. Running at home in front of the French public is always a different moment. Even more so in a championship as spectacular and demanding as the NASCAR Euro Series V8 GP. After an intense weekend on April 18 and 19 in Valencia (Spain) for the opening of the championship, Paul Jouffreau arrives at Le Castellet with a lot of enthusiasm and a taste of unfinished business. Because the results in Valencia left a mix of frustration and additional motivation.

Cruel scenario in Valencia

In Spain, Paul Jouffreau started on the front row, following his 3rd place in qualifying. He finished second behind Ercoli in the first round. The next day, he led the race before a puncture, when he seemed capable of playing for victory. A cruel scenario that does not erase the level of performance displayed throughout the Spanish weekend.

The pace is there. The RDV Competition team is up to the task. And the work done this winter is clearly paying off. Between Valencia and Le Castellet, there is no question of slowing down. Paul Jouffreau continued his preparation by participating in one of the biggest world events in sim racing: the 24 Hours of Nürburgring on iRacing. A legendary event held on the challenging Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, with the best international drivers in the discipline at the start.

“To see so many people travel to support me inevitably gives me extra energy”

In an extremely competitive context, Paul Jouffreau and his teammate achieved a superb performance with a third place. An important additional experience in his preparation. Because today, the work of a modern driver no longer stops only at track testing.

Strong mobilization around the pilot

The focus is now fully on the French Grand Prix where the atmosphere promises to be exceptional. For several weeks, the excitement around this event has been growing. Many supporters, partners, businesses, and motorsport enthusiasts plan to travel to Le Castellet to support Paul Jouffreau and experience this weekend at the heart of European NASCAR. A mobilization that particularly touches the French driver.
