The Goalkeepers
Arrived from the youth teams of AC Milan, Noah Raveyre will definitely not see out the three-year contract he signed last summer. The goalkeeper, who has been one of the big disappointments of the season, is expected to be sold in the interest of both the player and Pau FC. Moreover, he has attracted the interest of several clubs: despite a very average season, he is valued at €2 million according to Transfermarkt.
His competition for the position, Esteban Salles, is expected to honor his last year of contract in Béarn, even though he also had a disappointing season despite finishing as number one.
The Defense
As our colleagues at La Rép suspected, captain Jean Ruiz will change clubs after four years in Béarn. Two destinations are emerging as potential landing spots. Montpellier or Sochaux – especially if the Doubs club moves up to Ligue 2 – could welcome the 28-year-old central defender. Eager to gain playing time, Sétigui Karamoko is also likely to move on. However, Anthony Briançon is set to begin his second season at Pau.
The situation with Joseph Kalulu is a bit unique: the left-back, who had four offers during the last winter transfer window, chose to stay. Attached to Pau and satisfied with his potential starting role, the 22-year-old player, who has two years left on his contract, is open to extending his adventure if opportunities arise.
Ousmane Kante is expected to retire and possibly join the staff at Pau FC. The club also wants to keep Daylam Meddah, who is still under contract. However, Meddah is considering staying at Pau but an offer could change things.
Souleymane Basse, who arrived mid-season, is expected to fulfill his final year of contract. Pau is also open to keeping Neil Glossoa, who has shown real potential. And regarding Tom Pouilly, who is under contract with Pau for two more years, all options are still on the table.
In Midfield
At 27, Julien Anziani would like to sign a lucrative contract. Will he be offered one elsewhere? If so, he will leave. The club and the midfield have set a deadline by which the Corsican player will stay at Pau. In the interest of both parties, Pau would like to keep Rayan Touzghar for another season. The 23-year-old Moroccan has one year left on his contract and could extend it, hoping that the next season will be a stepping stone to higher levels, unless a large offer changes plans.
Coming to the end of his contract, Antonin Bobichon is expected to begin discussions with Pau. The club is open to extending his contract if the midfielder adjusts his demands. If so, the 31-year-old midfielder will compete with a new recruit.
The Attack
Respectively sought after by Paris FC and Augsburg, Omar Sissoko and Kyliane Dong could return. This idea pleases Pau FC, especially as the two attackers fit perfectly into coach Thierry Debès’s system. However, the decisions are not in Pau’s hands in these cases.
On the other hand, Pau has control over the Versini situation. Even though there is no doubt that the promising talent will move up the ranks. Just his presence in the Ligue 2 starting lineup suggests this. And the financial benefits that would come from this move would secure Pau FC’s future.
As for Sadik, his contract is coming to an end. After a good start, the number 9 has succeeded. He will return to Espanyol after one year in Béarn.
