Cindy Fabre was not yet 20 years old when she was elected Miss France 2005. Since then, the beauty queen has come a long way. Between her career as a TV host, her modeling gigs, and her investments in charitable causes, the beautiful woman from Nièvre also succeeded Sylvie Tellier as the general director of the Miss France committee from 2022 to 2025. Today, she mainly devotes herself to her events agency and creating content, especially on her Instagram account. On Sunday, May 10, 2026, she surprised her followers by posting an unexpected video in which she dares to address the subject of her weight.
“After 40 years, the body changes, that’s a fact. I eat my emotions. Conclusion: I no longer lose weight like before. Stress, fatigue, disappointments, pressure, moments when you have to keep smiling even though inside it’s not going well… When you’re a woman, you always have to be at your best,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “And when you’ve been Miss, people keep a fixed image of you.”
Cindy Fabre is “distraught”
Today, Cindy Fabre is not afraid to say she has gained 6 kilograms and no longer fits into some of her jeans. “Yes, I have changed, my pants tell me that every day. How do I feel? Bad. Will it get better? I hope so, because there are worse things, but in the meantime, every morning I get annoyed that I’m no longer who I used to be,” she confesses while trying on the pants in her wardrobe one by one. Despite her very supportive community, the former beauty queen admits to having a hard time accepting her new silhouette.
“What’s happening? I don’t know. So, is it premenopause? At 40, I didn’t hear only good news… So I sought refuge in food. It was a real band-aid! Then I swelled, swelled, swelled, swelled… Am I resisting or giving up? I think we need to forget about the sizes that belonged to another era,” she explains on camera before sadly concluding, “I am truly distraught.”
Cindy Fabre struggles to accept aging
After her year of reign, Cindy Fabre became the mother of a little boy named Elio, born in November 2012. Like all women who slowly age, the model sees her body changing and has a hard time accepting it. Fortunately, she can count on the support of her community but also on that of her partner, Sylvain, whom she married in July 2024 in Dijon.
Last year, when about to celebrate her 40th birthday, she confided to the magazine Ici Paris. “Age is in the mind. I prefer to define mine! Last year, I was 32. Now, I’m willing to go to 35. But I won’t go beyond that!” she joked. Let’s hope she will make peace with her image soon because a beauty queen is always a beauty queen.
