The maintenance of JSC in D2 is now assured after a clear 4-1 victory against Pibrac. A collective performance that rewards a season marked by solidarity and the progression of the group.

A deserved victory

On Saturday, May 2, JSC hosted Pibrac for a crucial match for maintenance: “We were 6th before the match, we still needed to get one or two points to really secure ourselves, knowing that by winning, we officially stay in D2 for our first season,” explains Bastien Balondrade, the team’s coach. With a united and successful team after two consecutive victories, the yellow and black team were the most aggressive from the start of the match. “We were quite direct to put them in danger and we managed to score fairly quickly from a corner,” the coach recounts. Indeed, on a well-struck corner, Yohann Camillo emerged at the back post to open the scoring before Benjamin Sartori quickly doubled the lead. The break was made, but the Cintegabellois gradually relaxed by conceding to Pibrac’s attacks. From a set piece, Pibrac scored to bring the score to within one goal before halftime. Returning from the break, JSC remained positive with good play at the start. The locals mobilized and mounted attacks. Overwhelmed, Pibrac’s defense crumbled and conceded two more goals. Final score, 4-1, JSC 2 is officially maintained.

A united group despite difficulties

With 23 points (6 wins, 5 draws, and 5 losses) and a tough start to 2026 with 4 straight losses, the overall outcome remains positive for the coach: “For a first season in D2, it’s quite decent. The players deserve credit, and we need to keep going and continue this work to finish as high as possible.” For the rest of the championship, JSC will host Confluent and then travel to FAT, a way to regain some points to keep 4th place in the championship. “It was a first at this level for us. The season was like all seasons when you’re promoted, a bit up and down, but we always showed teamwork and solidarity by ensuring stability within the team, I think that helped us succeed this season,” concludes the coach.
