Thanks to their victory over Dijon (87-69), Nanterre has secured their spot in the playoffs. Paris Basketball was defeated at home after overtime against Chalon-sur-Saône (103-105). Meanwhile, Limoges has officially secured their place after dominating the last-place team Le Portel (83-105).

Nanterre, only beaten twice this season on their home court (without Mathis Dossou-Yovo), succeeded against Dijon this Saturday. Led by Scott (22 points, 10 rebounds), Sene (18 points, 7 assists), and Yimga-Moukouri (15 points), the club from Île-de-France quickly took the lead in the match, leading by nine points at halftime (49-40). Although Dijon made a comeback in the third quarter (56-58), they completely collapsed in the last 10 minutes, conceding a 25-11 run. While the play-in is still a possibility for Dijon, they used up one of their chances this Saturday. They will need to win their last two matches against Bourg-en-Bresse and Le Portel to have a shot. On the other hand, Nanterre will indeed be in the quarter-finals of the championship.

Chalon Overturns Paris, Limoges Secured

Trailing by 11 points at the end of the third quarter, Élan Chalon clinched a dazzling victory over Paris Basketball. By catching up, Chalon forced the match into overtime to secure their place in the play-in. Faced with Nadir Hifi’s 36 points (10 in overtime), Chalon resisted and got their revenge from the previous match (where they lost 67-107). Matheo Leray (20 points, 6 assists) hit a crucial three-pointer in overtime, and his team always led the way. Hifi had the game-winning shot, but his attempt missed. Paris will end their regular season with a trip to Monaco before hosting Lyon.

Playing away against last-placed Le Portel (26 losses in 26 matches), Limoges had the opportunity to confirm their survival. With the help of Nicolas Lang’s 14 points, CSP easily won (83-105) by maintaining a significant lead of about 17 points throughout the match. In 12th place, Limoges is officially safe with two rounds remaining, while Le Portel was already relegated. Lastly, Boulazac (11th) did not capitalize on Nancy’s defeat to move closer to the play-in. BBD was defeated at home by Cholet (68-77), who remains in contention for the top 6.
