The couple announced their engagement last December and have now celebrated their wedding on a private island in the Bahamas. On Saturday, May 23, Bettina Anderson shared a photo of her hand and her husband’s hand, each wearing their wedding rings.
The festivities took place in complete privacy, and the President of the United States was not present. On Thursday, May 21, Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson got married in Palm Beach, Florida, as reported by Page Six, who obtained a copy of the marriage certificate. While they hoped to celebrate the wedding at the White House, the couple ultimately chose to go to the Bahamas with their friends and family on a private island. On Saturday, May 23, Bettina Anderson revealed a glimpse of the wedding by sharing a black and white photo on her Instagram story. In the picture, the hands of the newlyweds interlace and are adorned with their wedding rings. “Yours forever, mine forever,” wrote the 39-year-old influencer in the caption of the photo, tagging her husband’s Instagram account. In another post, she reposted a message that seems to have been embroidered on white fabric. “The goal is to marry your best friend,” reads the post.
According to Page Six, several members of the Trump family were present, including Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany Trump, as well as the six children Don Jr. had with his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump. “Don and Bettina make a wonderful couple,” said Eric Trump. “I am so proud to have been able to witness a big part of their journey as a couple. They truly light up in each other’s presence, and it has been amazing to see their story unfold. I couldn’t be happier for them on this special day.”
However, one member of the family was missing from the celebrations. Indeed, Donald Trump announced on Thursday, May 21, that he would not be present at his son’s wedding. The President explained that it was “not the right time” for him to attend, citing the ongoing war in Iran and other issues related to his role as head of state. “Although I really wished to be at the wedding of my son, Don Jr., and the new addition to the Trump family, his future wife Bettina, my governmental duties and my love for the United States of America prevent me from doing so,” he stated on his social media platform, Truth Social. So far, no photos of the wedding have been released by the couple, who prefer to maintain some mystery around the event.
