The Narbonne association Odyssée Musique has handed over a support check to the Association of Mayors of Aude to help the communes affected by the fires during the summer of 2025.
The official check handover took place in Trèbes between Christian Bouquet, president of Odyssée Musique, and Éric Ménassi, president of the Association of Mayors of Aude. This solidarity initiative follows an audition of student musicians from the Music Center organized on March 28 at the Château de Montplaisir.
Thanks to the mobilization of students, families, volunteers, and the audience attending this musical evening, the association was able to raise funds for the affected communes. “This contribution is modest (300 euros), but we hope it will provide useful assistance and encourage other solidarity initiatives,” highlighted Christian Bouquet.
” A message of support and solidarity”
Deeply involved in charitable actions, the association Odyssée Musique regularly leads initiatives combining culture and solidarity. For its members, it was important “to provide concrete support to the communes in Aude devastated by the fires, which have had severe consequences on the territory.” Following the Corbières fire in August 2025, the Association of Mayors of Aude set up a solidarity fund to financially support the severely affected communities.
Éric Ménassi praised this generous gesture: “On behalf of the Association of Mayors of Aude and the communes affected by the fires, I warmly thank the association Odyssée Musique for this outpouring of solidarity.
Behind this donation, there is above all a message of support and solidarity that is very important.” Through this gesture, the volunteers of the association wanted to show their solidarity towards the inhabitants of the department and remind that music can also be a means of generosity and sharing.
