Alexandra and Audrey Lamy have a ten-year age difference, yet they have always been very close. When she was young, Audrey was regularly looked after by her older sister, who sometimes encouraged her to play pranks with her. “My sister made me do prank phone calls. When I was six or seven years old, I was really small, she would babysit me at night when my parents went out to dinner. And with her best friend, she would make me call people in the middle of the night, at eleven o’clock or midnight, saying: ‘I’m all alone, my parents are gone.’ It was horrible, it was awful,” Audrey Lamy recalled in 2021 on the set of “C a vous.”

Both of them have developed a great sense of humor and a certain talent for comedy. Today, they both work in the same profession, without any rivalry between them.

Alexandra Lamy “shares everything” with her sister Audrey Lamy
In an interview with Gala published on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Alexandra Lamy revealed that the first person she would call when she had a problem was her younger sister. “We are very close, we share everything. If she asks me for advice, I tell her what I think honestly. We never argue,” she shared before adding: “But it’s like in love or friendship, taking care of the other is important.”

Despite being inseparable from her sister, the mother of Chloé Jouannet has no problem being alone. “As I have a ten-year age gap with Audrey and my parents worked a lot, I was often alone in the countryside. At that time, we didn’t have cell phones, computers, internet, I was very bored, but it helped me to create and truly know myself. And as much as I love talking, I also love being alone,” she declared.

How does Alexandra Lamy experience her single life?
The 54-year-old actress was in a relationship for several years with Thomas Jouannet, the father of her daughter Chloé Jouannet. Then, she shared her life with Jean Dujardin. Since then, the actress has not made any love story official and seems happy in her single life: “I don’t like the idea that because you are single you are necessarily unhappy. You want to say: ‘You are in a couple and you’re not very happy either, so what’s better?'” she revealed in a documentary dedicated to her on M6, aired in April 2025.

A few days ago, in the podcast InPower, she mentioned that she is very comfortable with her single life: “I did it for a very long time, having relationships, things. I am very happy to be alone (…) You have to be very careful because you get used to being single a lot.” She also stated that she is “not at all looking for someone”, as her current life suits her perfectly. A woman who seems fulfilled and content in her life.
