Nikos Aliagas Surprises The Voice Jury by Auditioning Himself For the prime time show on Saturday, April 25th, a surprise awaited The Voice jury. In this final blind audition evening, Nikos Aliagas traded his hosting role for that of a contestant.

Accustomed to supporting talents backstage, he found himself under the spotlight this time. With a microphone in hand, he took part in the iconic blind auditions, a pivotal moment in the show.

The unsuspecting coaches quickly recognized the voice of the man who has been hosting the show for 15 years. Initially causing a bit of doubt, Amel Bent asked, “Is it Garou or Nikos?” while Lara Fabian had already hit her buzzer.

All seats turned for Nikos’s rendition of Georges Moustaki’s “Métèque.” “He sings well!” exclaimed Zazie, who was there to support her friend Florent Pagny for the night. Florent noted, “It’s just, it’s beautiful.”

“I’m so nervous, it’s not possible,” said the presenter before taking the stage. He added, “I do not regret being here, but I’m freaked out. I swear I’m freaking out.” The host admitted, “I have experienced almost every role and scenario in this show, but not this one.”

Some social media users wondered about Nikos’s role in the upcoming stages of the competition, asking if he would have to compete in battles against other talents. However, the presenter will not overshadow the contestants since this “audition” was not a true competition entry but a staged surprise for the coaches and viewers in honor of the 15th edition of the show.
