Pierre-Vincent Leconte Opens Unique Bar and Music Store in Barr
Pierre-Vincent Leconte, 38, traded his career as a nurse to open a business in downtown Barr, on Rue des Boulangers, in the former location of the shoe store Les Souliers Rouges. On March 17, he opened Contre-Temps, a unique venue combining a bar and a music store. Two types of establishments that no longer exist in Barr.
Having lived in the city for six years, he has always been driven by his passion for music and beer. It was when the grueling pace of nursing began to take its toll on this father of a family that he decided to change paths.
Two Separate Areas
His business, spanning 85 m², is divided into two parts. The first room upon entering allows customers to sit down (with 25 seats available) and attend the concerts he hosts (an event every weekend). In the second room, he serves beers, soft drinks, and wines (exclusively local) behind the counter, and showcases his musical range: mainly second-hand guitars, amps, and drum and guitar accessories.
Currently, he is focusing on the bar section to make a living, but he hopes that the music section will gain momentum as he becomes more well-known.
