On May 13, former First Lady Carla Bruni gave a private concert to guests at a dinner organized by Chopard. The event took place during the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, where Bruni was the guest of honor at the inaugural Ladies’ Dinner hosted by Chopard at the legendary Hotel Martinez. The singer delivered an intimate concert in a refined and sophisticated atmosphere created by Caroline Scheufele, president and artistic director of the jewelry house, in front of carefully selected guests.
On the rooftops of Cannes, Carla Bruni embodied the spirit of the evening celebrating influential women in cinema and fashion. She emotionally performed her famous 2002 song “Quelqu’un m’a dit,” offering listeners, including Elsa Zylberstein, Estelle Lefebure, and Kelly Rutherford, a timeless moment. Another artist, singer and DJ Claire Laffut, also took the stage during the evening.
Carla Bruni has maintained a close relationship with Chopard for several years, being a regular presence at their events. Last year, at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, she enchanted the Chopard Trophy ceremony, which highlights young talents in international cinema. Despite the glamour of the event, the shadow of former President Nicolas Sarkozy’s legal troubles loomed in the background, as he faces appellate proceedings in the “Libyan financing” case. Despite this, Carla Bruni remained calm and composed during the Cannes event.
