The popularity of the Étoile Sportive Fossatoise, football section, has never waned; on the contrary, it is increasing every year along with its team 1.

For proof, the big festive evening that brought together partners, supporters, players, leaders of course, and then all those who like to combine conviviality, sharing, paella (this time) and rock with the Kroq’notes. An evening of celebration open to everyone after a quick match against Launaguet (4-0) that gives a boost, if not in the heart, at least in the legs. And certainly gives a voice to President Christian Gros: “Next week, a big final awaits us against Lavernose for promotion to Régionale 2 and I hope you will be even more numerous to support our colors, so let’s go yellows and greens!”

The club thus signs an exemplary season that is particularly welcomed by Gérard Gonzalès, president of the Ariège football district, accompanied by David Béret, departmental technical advisor. The latter took advantage of the evening to award Stéphanie Tapie, president of GFAL, Groupement Football Arize-Lèze, the departmental label 2025-2026 in recognition of all the work done with young people through educational actions. “The objective is to train the citizens of tomorrow, but also to convey the message that football is not just a match between two teams, it is also a football school where there is education; that is why we wanted to be associated with it and honor, not just one person, but all the people who work tirelessly for this group throughout the year.”

A group which, despite its stumbling at the beginning, celebrates its four years today and through this recognition sees its future illuminated. A future that has been carried by its 173 members, 14 educators, 23 leaders for many years and now by its 3 minibuses. And a general enthusiasm from the population. So don’t forget! Everyone at the Versailles stadium on Saturday, May 16, 8 pm.
