Coros makes a big impact this month. After integrating ChatGPT and a special edition, the manufacturer is rolling out a major update for its sports watches. The update includes the unexpected arrival of voice control, optimized strength training tracking, and new tools for running.
Certainly, Coros is making multiple announcements this May. After opening its MCP to connect to ChatGPT account or Claude and unveiling a golden edition of its Pace 4, the manufacturer is revealing a major update for its sports watches this Friday.
To go further, what are the best connected sports watches in 2026?
The Coros watches can now be controlled by voice. This feature allows activities to be started, reminders to be set, countdowns to be launched, or lane changes during a track activity, all with voice commands.
This May 2026 Coros update also revises the design of the control center, making it more accessible through a swipe or button press. Additional functions include a flashlight, headphone management, screen brightness adjustment for Amoled watches, and a “water” mode on the Coros Apex 4 to expel liquids from the speaker.
Among other new features, there is a new automatic lap management for running, personalized image customization after workouts for sharing on social media, and improved strength training tracking. The update also takes into account treadmill runs in the running level assessment, structured workouts for cross-country skiing and hybrid fitness, and a new “GPS Endurance” mode on the Coros Nomad to increase battery life to 56 hours with slightly reduced accuracy.
These new features for Coros watches are available for download starting today and should be provided via update in the coming days for all users.
