The Chronicles of Bridgerton arrives in The Sims 4

The popular Regency period drama “Bridgerton” is making its way into the world of video games.

With four successful seasons aired, “Bridgerton” has garnered global acclaim on Netflix. Now, the phenomenon is stepping out of the streaming world for a unique collaboration: the Regency era is coming to The Sims 4.

For years, “Bridgerton” has been one of Netflix’s most popular series. With sumptuous costumes, glamorous balls, and moving love stories, this series focused on high society in London during the Victorian era has attracted millions of viewers with each new season.

Now, Netflix is expanding its production universe in an unexpected way. Elements from the historical drama will make their way into the world of video games: the streaming phenomenon is launching a special collaboration with The Sims 4. Electronic Arts explains that the company, in partnership with Netflix and Shondaland—the production company behind “Bridgerton”—is creating the first crossover between the series and the iconic game.

Starting on May 12, players will be able to unlock numerous new contents inspired by Netflix’s hit show as part of a temporary event. The best part is that it will be free, both on PC and consoles. Until July 7, more than 22 items and looks inspired by the series will be available.

The collaboration mainly draws inspiration from the recently aired fourth season. Along with various building elements, the famous “Lady in Silver” costume of Sophie Baek—complete with a mask—will make its debut in the game.

In addition to the free content, EA will also launch two new paid expansions: the “Lady Bridgerton Masquerade Ball Pack” and the “Lady Bridgerton Masquerade Ball Fashion Pack.” These will be available separately for about 6 francs each or bundled for about 9 francs.

The fashion pack will allow players to dress their Sims in “elegant tailcoats, stunning dresses, and accessories worthy of the most anticipated event of the season.” The building pack, on the other hand, focuses on creating “the perfect atmosphere for the season’s high-profile event.”
