Tibo InShape has a knack for hitting where it hurts. Recently, the YouTuber made headlines by mocking influencers who had fled to Dubai after the Iranian attacks: “The influencers in Dubai, finally we are better off in France, aren’t we?”. This comment earned him a sharp “poor man” from Nabilla. He justified himself by saying he wanted to “point out the hypocrisy of certain influencers who make a business out of scamming honest people and hide down there.”

But it was on a different field that Juju Fitcats’ partner found himself this week in the role of the target. On Monday, March 16, in the Estelle Midi show on RMC, the columnist Baptiste des Monstiers took aim at the youth who are fans of bodybuilding, whom he dismissively renamed “the Teub InShape generation.” A critical portrayal: “It’s a generation that will lift weights, consume protein, count every gram they eat,” he said.

Before hammering the point home: “The idea that it is sport that is exploding among the youth. It’s a sport driven by ‘I look at myself, I admire myself in the mirror, I take photos of my biceps.’ And then I’m driven on the internet by teubs in shape and co and I consume whey and dietary supplements. Excuse me, this is not the generation that excites me.”

Tibo InShape’s response was swift. On Twitter, he calmly but candidly replied: “In 2026, criticizing an entire generation of young people who exercise and eat better, rather than smoke and drink alcohol… you really have to do that.”

He also revealed his perspective on bodybuilding: “Bodybuilding is a sport that can be practiced alone or in groups. It allows many young people, especially introverts, to get out of their homes, meet new people, and, in turn, regain confidence.” Tibo InShape also highlighted the medical benefits of bodybuilding, emphasizing that it is “one of the best ways to preserve muscle mass and fight against sarcopenia, the natural loss of muscle linked to age, in order to age in better health.” He concluded with a touch of irony: “You are not so young anymore, gentlemen, maybe instead of criticizing, you should come push some weight in the gym.”
