The month of May brings a unique tune at the municipal music school Claude Nougaro in Castelginest, unveiling its end-of-season agenda like an anticipated setlist.

Three dates, one common setting – the municipal cinema Le Castelina – and a promise: to make the local stage resonate with the rhythm of learning. No headliners or special effects here, just raw energy, that of the students taking the stage with a mix of nerves and excitement.

On May 11th, the first notes will ring out at 5:30 pm with the early learning, initiation, and guitar classes. At 7 pm, the strings will take over: violins, violas, and the junior orchestra will weave a delicate sound tapestry, balancing classical rigor with bold freshness.

On May 18th, the tempo will change without breaking the harmony. The piano will kick off the evening before winds and brass – clarinets, flutes, saxophones, trumpets – add jazzy accents, almost improvised. In the background, one can sense the spirit of Claude Nougaro, to whom the school pays tribute even in its name.

Finally, on May 28th, it’s time for musical dessert. The percussion hits, the drums set the groove, before voices and electric guitars take over the stage.

The finale promises to be electric, driven by contemporary music and the desire to break the silence. Free and open to all, these auditions are not just presentations. They reflect a year of hard work, passion, and transmission.
