From May 6 to 9, at the Venise cinema, the 3rd “Clap” film festival will take place. On Thursday, May 7, at 9 p.m., as part of a special screening, the film “Plus fort que moi” by Kirk Jones will be presented. The screenplay of this film was built around the story of John Davidson growing up with Tourette’s syndrome. Between misunderstanding, stigmatization, and determination, his journey filled with challenges turns into a fight to be recognized for who he is beyond prejudices. This film will be presented by the team from the “British Screens” festival in Nîmes, which took place from March 13 to 22 and featured around thirty films. Following the screening, Agnès Romarin, a member of the French Tourette Syndrome Association for over 20 years, and Robin Zmirou, who has the syndrome, will discuss the film, answer questions, and continue raising awareness. This film, released in April 2026, has been very successful. On May 7, in Sommières, the speakers will offer a different perspective even for those who have already seen the film. An exceptional evening not to be missed!
Upon presentation of a membership card from an association, entry is offered at 4.90 euros.
