The business club Comtal, from the football team of the same name, is developing a network of businesses to serve the local sports and social ties. Since its launch, it has been met with great success.
This is an ideal way to develop links between sports and entrepreneurship. The business club Comtal, created by FC Comtal, a football club from Sébrazac, Lioujas, and Rodelle, is the brainchild of Vincent Laury, an IT professional, along with his friends Jimmy Hantz, Philippe Ayrinhac, and Judicael Humbert who are also footballers and entrepreneurs. They joined forces to provide partnership support to their beloved team. These football enthusiasts aimed to “give back to football what it had given to them” while fostering synergy among entrepreneurs from various fields.

75 members, support for young local athletes…
These footballer-owners, who have also become volunteer coaches or team leaders for youth teams, believe that participating in team sports helps inculcate virtues such as perseverance, a taste for effort, and solidarity. The business club Comtal quickly grew its membership by including artisans, shop owners, industrialists, and service industry executives, along with farmers, representing a wide area from Laissac to Bozouls, Lioujas, Sébrazac, and Gabriac. The founding president, Vincent Laury, is delighted to have 75 members and aims to reach 100 soon. The club will remain geographically limited to Comtal and will prioritize a friendly principle akin to village or neighborhood gatherings to foster mutual understanding and appreciation without expansionist ambitions.
This rise in influence and the expansion of the area’s outreach to the “Comtal territory” have resulted in benefits for all sports clubs with structured training schools, allowing them to share a subsidy totaling 5,500 euros.
These subsidies are distributed based on the number of young athletes, ranging from 150 to 500 euros each, for a total of approximately 1,000 young athletes across 21 sports associations dedicated to football, skittles, archery, skiing, and more.
