The French Rugby Federation was indicted on Friday, April 24, for involuntary manslaughter after the disappearance at sea in August 2024 of Medhi Narjissi, during a training camp with the French Under-18 team in South Africa, announced the FFR’s lawyer. “We acknowledge the decision to indict the FFR as a legal entity. This is an intermediate step in the procedure that does not constitute a declaration of guilt in any way,” reacted Mathias Chichportich, calling the decision “questionable in law”.

On Friday, the FFR was summoned to the Agen court. It was a “crucial” moment for the family of the young Stade Toulousain player, 17 years old at the time of his disappearance, said their lawyer, Edouard Martial.
