But in the same message, Donald Trump announced the sending of an American delegation to Islamabad, Pakistan, to relaunch discussions between Washington and Tehran.

The head of state wrote that he was offering Iran a “reasonable agreement” and that in case of refusal on Iran’s part, “the United States will destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran.” The composition of the delegation sent by Washington, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, is already known. However, Iran has not yet confirmed its participation in these new talks, according to Iranian media.

According to the Fars and Tasnim news agencies, citing anonymous sources, the Iranian regime has not made a decision yet. The official Irna agency stated that there is “no clear prospect of successful negotiations,” mentioning not only the naval blockade but also Washington’s “unreasonable demands.”
