Re-elected mayor of the town of Aube last March, the politician has given an important role to his wife in his team. After serving as deputy mayor in charge of finances, education, youth, and more, for this new term, the 46-year-old woman is now responsible for culture, heritage, protocol services, major events, associations, and oversees the Maison du Dauphin.

A trained pharmacist, Stéphanie Lochard also ran in the legislative elections in 2022 for The Republicans party. She has been politically involved since the 2014 municipal elections, when she was 22nd on the list led by her husband. Having established herself at the heart of the municipal system, the politician also reportedly participated in the composition of François Baroin’s municipal list, which has annoyed some supporters. “She has a huge influence on the mayor, who follows her advice a lot,” said a Troyes elected official cited by L’Est Éclair last March.
