The American president has, once again, threatened Iran this Sunday, saying that time was “running out”, as negotiations between the two countries struggle to make progress. Iran, on the other hand, stated that no concrete concessions had been made by the United States.
Donald Trump warned on his platform Truth Social that “there will be nothing left of Iran” if Tehran does not sign an agreement with the United States, as negotiations between the two countries continue to stall.
“After more than a month of truce between the two belligerents, the prospect of resolving the conflict, which began on February 28, remains distant.”
Iranian media reported on Sunday that the United States had not granted “any concrete concessions” in response to Iranian proposals.
Fact Check:
- Donald Trump’s warning was issued on his platform Truth Social.
- The negotiations between the US and Iran have stagnated.
Context:
- The conflict between the US and Iran started on February 28.
- The US demanded strict and long-term restrictions on Iran’s nuclear sector, conditioning the cessation of hostilities on all fronts on the start of negotiations.
