Two military planes collided on Sunday at an air show in northwest United States, but no casualties were reported, according to spectacular images shown by American media.

“An aviation incident occurred at the Mountain Home Air Force base during the Gunfighter Skies air show,” the event organizers stated on their website.

In a video broadcast by CBS, the two planes, Growler EA-18G from the navy, can be seen colliding with each other and spiraling downwards before the cockpits open and four parachutes deploy.

The planes crashed to the ground in a powerful explosion emitting black smoke, while the parachutes appeared to land safely.

A similar incident at an air show in Reno, Nevada in 2011 resulted in 11 deaths and at least 60 injuries when a World War II aircraft crashed into the crowd of spectators.
