Lebanon braces for new bombings as the Israeli army has called for evacuation of two buildings in Tyr.

The ceasefire has once again been violated. Two Israeli strikes killed ten people in southern Lebanon on Friday, May 22, according to the Lebanese health ministry. “One strike on the village of Deir Qanoune al-Nahr, in the Tyr region”, killed six people, including two paramedics affiliated with the Shiite Amal movement, an ally of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah group, as well as a Syrian girl, according to authorities. One of the killed paramedics also worked as an independent photographer.
During the previous night, another strike had hit the locality of Hanaouay, near Tyr. Four paramedics affiliated with Hezbollah died, the ministry had stated.
The Israeli army also announced earlier in the day that it had killed two men in a strike in southern Lebanon, near its border. They were “armed individuals moving suspiciously a few hundred meters from Israeli territory”, they claimed on Telegram.
Lebanon is preparing for new bombings as the Israeli army called for the evacuation of two buildings and their surroundings in Tyr on Friday evening. The Israeli Defense Forces claim that the two buildings were “being used” by Hezbollah. Israel also issued a call for the evacuation of the village of Bourj Rahhal, east of Tyr, emphasizing targeting Islamist movement members. The latter stated that they had targeted Israeli troops and positions on Lebanese territory and near the northern Israeli border.
Israeli airstrikes have cost the lives of 3,111 people in Lebanon since the start of hostilities on March 2, according to the latest figures from the Lebanese health ministry. On the other hand, Israel mourns the death of 22 soldiers.
