NEWS – TV presenter Flavie Flament speaks out on RTL for the first time after filing a rape complaint against Patrick Bruel

Flavie Flament reacts. After filing a rape complaint against Patrick Bruel, the presenter spoke on RTL this Friday. “I never had consensual sexual relations with Patrick Bruel,” Flavie Flament stated, pointing out the singer’s defense.

“You never change your story”

The presenter accuses Patrick Bruel of raping her in 1991, when she was 16 years old. She filed a complaint. The alleged facts are contested by the artist. This Friday, Flavie Flament denounces the different versions put forward by the singer’s defense: “The arguments vary: first an episodic relationship, then a relationship over several years, then vacations together for years.”

Continuing: “When you hold the truth, you never change your version […]. So many things are said. I wanted to let things happen… We don’t speak in the noise. I wouldn’t have been heard in that chaos.”

“Taking legal action”

Flavie Flament, 51 years old, also criticized the qualifications of Patrick Bruel’s defense, 67 years old. “Can you imagine what it’s like for a minor victim to be told that she was consenting to the tragedy she suffered? These allegations are terrible […]. We are considering the possibility of taking legal action with my lawyers. What is happening is also what happens when a victim speaks: they try to silence her and discredit her.”
