Ryanair, the Irish low-cost airline, announced on Monday that it will not present annual forecasts due to a lack of visibility caused by the war in the Middle East, despite a significant increase in profits for the just-ended fiscal year.

“The conflict has created economic uncertainty, and we still do not know when the Strait of Hormuz will reopen,” said the group’s CEO, Michael O’Leary.

“Without visibility on the second half and given the high fuel price volatility and supply risks, it is too early to provide any significant profit forecast for the fiscal year 2026-2027 at this stage,” he added.

Ryanair’s stock was down about 1% at the Dublin Stock Exchange in late morning trading.
