As part of its strategic focus on the issue of Artistic and Cultural Education and training through project practice in cultural action, INSPÉ de Lorraine has been participating in the national Arts & Culture Days in Higher Education since 2016 (Convention “University, a cultural place” signed in Avignon on July 12, 2013). A unique and original program of various cultural activities is thus designed, with the financial support of the Arts & Culture mission of INSPÉ de Lorraine, the Student Life Contribution and Campus of the University of Lorraine, and the DRAC Grand Est.
It is a day without classes (like the “INSPÉ RDV”) on all the training campuses of INSPÉ de Lorraine and open to the entire community. A highlight is that students, staff, and teachers come together in workshops outside the usual framework of classes, meetings, or evaluations, and imagine what they can then transpose into their classes or simply meet artists to exchange ideas with them.
The program of this 10th edition was particularly varied: screenings-discussions, practical workshops (photography, screen printing, stop motion, sketches, calligraphy, monotype, lactogravure, video, escape game, music, brain ball, vocal expression and improv, quiz, traditional dances), visits and “crazy walk” (archaeological, industrial, city, nature, architecture), concerts and shows (student brass band of the University of Lorraine, folk, theater) and of course, a visit to the exhibitions of our artist welcomed in residence this year: Marie Mirgaine (Le Préau Gallery, University Library, and Fabulathèque).
A big thank you to colleagues (INSPÉ, University Library, and IREM) and student associations who proposed and animated workshops, to all colleagues of INSPÉ (and partners) for their support, to cultural organizations, and of course to the artists – more than 600 of you participated in this 2026 edition of JACES!
Note in your diaries: the next edition is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2027! The call for projects will be launched next autumn.
