    No more asphalted and shadeless school yards. This is the goal that several schools in the Pays de Morlaix have taken on as part of the Chifoumi experiment. The aim is to soften the grounds, create shaded areas through tree planting, and enhance vegetation to promote biodiversity and the well-being of the students.     In Carantec, they are betting on rhubarb to diversify their production

    Catherine Mingam, a market gardener in Carantec, is one of the 18 Prince de Bretagne producers who have chosen to grow rhubarb to diversify their production.     From Sunday, May 20, to Monday, May 25, 2026, the entertainment association in Plouigneau will host the first edition of its wood sculpture symposium, on the Général-de-Gaulle square in Plouigneau. For five days, six Breton sculptors will create sculptures from imposing tree trunks. Several activities will also punctuate the week (wood workshops for children and adults, demonstrations, wooden games, woodturning, nature walks, conferences, exhibitions, axe throwing, performances, concerts, as well as a tree discovery walk and a musical afternoon).     Today’s event: start of the Tresco Trophy on Wednesday, May 13th, at the port of Morlaix

    The boats participating in the Télégramme Tresco Trophy will set off on the first stage Morlaix-Guernsey on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. They will pass through the first lock at the port of Morlaix at 3:15 p.m. before the official start at 5:15 p.m. The arrival in Guernsey is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026. On Saturday, May 16, starting at 7:30 a.m., for the second stage, they will head to Roscoff. On Sunday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m., the flotilla will return to Morlaix, where the award ceremony will take place at 8 p.m., at the Tobacco Factory in Morlaix.
