The Spring of the Arts celebrates inclusion and living together where culture is not just about seeing or listening, but about sharing collectively.

30 free events are offered until June 13 on artistic and cultural themes aimed at exploring braille and adapted books, creating and dancing together, regardless of one’s background, meeting artists and discussing exile, identity, or memory, discovering sensitive exhibitions on life journeys, attending performances, concerts, and accessible shows for all.

A rich and varied program awaits, with libraries in the network, as well as a street show close to residents in social centers, healthcare and social structures, nursing homes, and public spaces hosting these moments of conviviality.

Highlights include a photo exhibition titled “fragments of a departure” from April 25 to May 13 in Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost and from May 23 to June 13 in Neyron, participatory dance workshops with the company Authentik, land art, multisensory creations, author meetings including Abdou Faye and others discussing exile, identity, and poetry, concerts by the Harmony of Hope, students from the Music and Dance Academy of CCMP, theater, and circus shows.

Not forgetting creative and sensory workshops in braille, relief manga, clay modeling flowers… Sharing totems have been designed to promote participation, discovery, and exchange, with an inclusive outlook on differences and everyone’s abilities, aiming to make these events accessible to a wider audience.

Accessible reading is emphasized with an inter-municipal collection of easy-to-read and understand books offered in the network’s libraries, allowing readers to choose from 800 documents. Some may also learn French, regain confidence in reading, or benefit from more accessible reading for disabilities or youth.
