The Detroit Lions strengthened their offensive line by selecting Clemson right tackle Blake Miller with the 17th pick in the first round of the draft. General manager Brad Holmes praised Miller for his experience, athletic abilities, and fit in Detroit’s culture.
Looking ahead to the second and third rounds on Friday, the Lions have one pick in the second round at No. 50 overall. Here are 10 players who could catch the Lions’ interest on Day 2 of the draft:
1. LB Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech: Rodriguez, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, had an impressive season with 128 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and seven forced fumbles. He could be a strong contender for the open WILL spot.
2. EDGE T.J. Parker, Clemson: Parker, a consistent disruptor at Clemson, finished his college career with 41.5 tackles for loss in 39 games. He also recorded six forced fumbles in 2024.
